» openSUSE repository URL shortening
Hacked a little lighttpd redirect on s.opensu.se to shorten URLs to openSUSE package repositories.
Simply use
http://s.opensu.se/r?
followed by the name of the repository, without the slashes (/) to separate, as it is redundant with ":"
Examples:- http://s.opensu.se/r?Archiving:Backup
- http://s.opensu.se/r?network:utilities

Thank you, very good info :)
Ah, nice. Except what we get is not a repository. And tying to get it, like http://s.opensu.se/r?network:utilities/openSUSE_Factory returns 404 Not Found.
I think that would be a lot more useful. Unless, of course, you omitted it on purpose to save resources.
Martin, works now ;)
Nice. Now, wouldn't it be nice to simply shorten the original URLs, too? Like using repos instead of repositories (and redirecting from the old ones to the new and shorter ones)? Just an idea.
