FOSDEM 2008 = 268 speakers in 228 talks, around 5000 visitors (we don't count, attending is free for everyone, no registration needed). That's a new record actually, last year's talk count was 214.

» Back from NUE and guess where I'm going to be in a week

Back from Nürnberg. Was a great time there, just way too short. Plenty of good company, I really enjoyed seeing all those folks again IRL (which is quite rare, unfortunately). As I spent most of my time there talking with people and drinking, I used the 5 hours of train between Nürnberg and Aachen to hack on the Software Portal. It's not dead, not at all, just a lot of work ;) Oh, and guess where I'm going to be in a week...    \o/ Yeah, ok, that one was pretty obvious.

I'll be at SUSE offices in Nürnberg from Monday to Wednesday next week (11-13 Feb) so... if you're around (e.g. a Novell employee over there) and would like to meet IRL, have a chat, a beer, see/join the Software Portal project, talk about the board, please ping me while I'm there :) Thanks to Novell for inviting me to their 2nd hackweek !
